Roxane a professional multi-media artist with over 15 years experience working in film, television, commercials, theatre, arts education, fashion production and retail visual display.
She studied at The Ontario College of Art, primarily in sculpture, mouldmaking & foundry; casting in bronze, aluminum & glass. She also studied glass blowing, ceramics, jewellery making & enameling and photography.
In 2005 during the eighth month of pregnancy for her first child, Roxane wanted to capture the amazing transformation of her body during a momentous time in her life so, she decided to make a casting of her Baby Belly (with help of course).
Photographs never did her Baby Belly justice and it was truly amazing to really “see” herself for the first time.
Roxane felt that these feelings might be true for other women who have always wanted to do this for themselves; just like she did but, didn’t know where to go to have it done.
Baby Belly Casting was born!
